QIF とは?

QIF 3.0 Overview

QIF 3.0, published as ISO 23952:2020, is the latest major release of the standard. It expands the framework to support end-to-end interoperability across CAD, CAM, CMM, metrology software, and enterprise systems. With QIF, every stage of the quality lifecycle can exchange data without custom translators or proprietary formats.

Key Capabilities of QIF 3.0

  • Model-Based Definition (MBD): Encodes 3D geometry, PMI, GD&T, and semantic tolerances in a standardized structure.
  • Characteristics & Inspection Requirements: Defines measurable features, tolerances, and inspection criteria in a consistent, machine-interpretable way.
  • Measurement Plans & Resources: Describes inspection strategies, CMM programs, sensors, and equipment capabilities.
  • Results and Traceability: Captures measured data, deviations, statistics, and full traceability back to the original model.
  • End-to-End Digital Thread: Ensures that design intent, inspection requirements, and results remain connected throughout the product lifecycle.

Supported Standards

QIF 3.0 aligns with the latest DMSC standards, providing a complete, interoperable foundation for digital metrology and model-based manufacturing:

  • QIF 3.0 Updated Standard — ISO 23952:2020
  • Model-Based Characteristics (MBC) v1.0 — DMSC MBC 1.0 (2024)
